How does it work?

  • Who can apply?

    Everyone who has completed the series of 10 workshops hosted by Onlinevents on Parts Theories with Kate Williams. If you've missed some or all of this series, you can also view it on-demand to apply for the Foundation Certificate.

  • What do you need to do?

    Once registered on the Temenos website, you can upload all the CPD Certificates for the workshop series. The Temenos team will review your submission and provide access to your digital Foundation Certificate.

  • What will you be awarded?

    Temenos will award you the Foundation Certificate in Understanding and Applying Parts Theories. This qualification confirms that you have completed 20 hours of learning.

A Digital Foundation Certificate

Once you have submitted your CPD Certificates and Temenos has approved them, you will have immediate access to your Digital Foundation Certificate. You can download the Digital Certificate and print it as many times as you wish. You can print the Digital Certificate for display in your counselling room to include in job applications and as part of tender submissions for commissioners. The certificate will have a unique number so no one can reproduce it.

A Digital Supplement

The Digital Foundation Certificate is also accompanied by a Digital Supplement, which describes the learning you have engaged with in more detail. The Digital Supplement will detail each workshop's title, description and length.

More information about the Advanced Certificate

This advanced certificate brings together cutting-edge parts work theory from different disciplines across psychotherapy and trauma therapy to add a versatile skill set to your practice. No one way works for all clients, and this includes parts work.

  • You will gain a deeper working-understanding of :

  • The Psychology of Selves model founded by Hal and Sidra Stone – Hall was a Jungian therapist and Sidra a Behaviourist – they have a psychospiritual element to their work

  • Voice Dialogue is the application of The Psychology of Selves model where the practitioner enters into a dialogue with their clients different parts

  • Structural dissociation is an important trauma theory founded by van der Hart, Nijenhuis & Steele and further integrated into sensorimotor psychotherapy by Janine Fisher

  • Internal Family Systems model founded by Richard Schwartz for inner child healing. Bessel Van Der Kolk on IFS: “the treatment method that all clinicians should know to treat clients effectively”.

  • Some clients gain a lot from moving positions, in the room, and talking from a part where their part really gets the opportunity to express themselves and be heard (voice dialogue) whilst other clients prefer the more internal and guided work of IFS. Structural Dissociation provides a sold theory to help clients understand their different parts whilst providing the therapist with the neurological understanding.

  • This advanced certificate will both deepen and broaden your work with clients supporting you to assess and work with a range of complex client presentations, working safely and effectively.

  • Supervision time will be integrated throughout the training.

  • Within this course there will be more theory, particularly around complex trauma, skills practice, discussion groups and supervision to support you to integrate PARTS WORK practice into your client work.

  • How do I register on the Temenos website?

    Once you have clicked the red button "convert now" or "start the process now", you will be invited to register for the Temenos website. You then need to set up your account and follow the instructions.

  • I cannot upload my CPD certificates; how can I get help?

    If you cannot upload your documents, please don't worry, as you can also email these to Temenos using the email address [email protected] . The Temenos team is also here to support you and communicate with Onlinevents on your behalf.

  • How long does it take to get my Foundation Certificate?

    Please allow up to seven days for our team to check all the documents and requirements. Once the documents have been approved, you will be able to download the digital Foundation Certificate.

  • What are the dates for the Advanced Certificate training course?

    Here are the course dates for the Advanced Certificate: 18/4 6pm-7pm Induction Meeting 26/4 10am-4pm 17/5 9am-4pm 14/6 9am-4pm 10/7 6-9pm 12/7 9am-4pm 26/7 9am – 1.30pm

  • How many people will be accepted into the Advanced Certificate Programme?

    Apply as soon as you can. The number of participants for the Advanced certificate is limited to 35 participants per program.
