Trauma research, theory and practice is now underpinning the work we do as therapists and it is vital for counsellors to have an in depth understanding of trauma along with an experiential knowledge of somatics and body-mind theory which supports the bottom-up work to trauma recovery.
This advanced certificate brings theory and cutting-edge trauma research and practice within the growing field of post-traumatic growth and somatic psychology. It will both deepen and broaden your work with clients supporting you to assess and work with a range of complex client presentations, working safely and effectively.
Within this course there will be more theory, particularly around complex trauma, skills practice, discussion groups and supervision to support you to integrate somatic trauma practice into your client work.
Supervision space – there will be supervision time on each day for 3 months from October to January to support integration of the theory & skills into your client work. You will learn from each other and will have the opportunity to present a client.
The course will be validated by a Written Assignment: 2500 – 4000 words. This assignment should show your understanding of trauma work and how you have incorporated it into your practice using examples from your client work .

NFT is a non-fungible token, which means that it's a one-of-a-kind digital asset that belongs to you and you only. Non-fungible tokens, often referred to as NFTs, are blockchain-based tokens representing a unique asset like a piece of art, digital content, or media. An NFT can be considered an irrevocable digital certificate of ownership and authenticity for a given digital or physical asset. NFTs are a relatively new technology that Temenos believes will transform adult education and certification.
