Maggi McAllister-MacGregor has been a practicing Counsellor/Psychotherapist for 20 years and works from a body-based perspective mainly with trauma, anxiety and stress. Her work is grounded in the Polyvagal Theory which has allowed her to develop her work to encompass both the body and the psyche, and this allows her to integrate her previous work as a body therapist into her current work with clients.

More information about the RESIDENTIAL Advanced Certificate

  • The aim of the advanced certificate is to expand the understanding of the Polyvagal Theory in an experiential way – learning the theory from the ‘inside out’ – exploring our Autonomic Nervous System in real time and directly with others in a group learning experience.

  • Induction Meeting: 8th of June 7pm to 8:30pm UK time The course will be held over two weekends running from Friday afternoon until Sunday lunchtime. Date for Weekend 1: 23/24/25 of June 2023 starting at 2pm on the Friday and finishing at 2pm on the Sunday Date for Weekend 2: 29/30 Sept and 1st of October 2023, starting at 2pm on the Friday, and finishing at 2pm on the Sunday

  • Each training program will be held over two weekends running from Friday afternoon until Sunday lunchtime. (30 hours of training)

  • Each weekend will consist of a mix of ‘Process’ and ‘Practice’ carried out in both the large group and two smaller groups.

  • The course will be validated by a Written Assignment: 2500 – 4000 words. This assignment should show your understanding of the Polyvagal Theory and how you have incorporated it into your practice using examples from your client work .

  • We welcome applications for this course from colleagues who have completed the Foundation Certificate in the Application of the Polyvagal Theory. By subscribing to the advanced certificate, you will gain access to the video of the Foundation training (25 hours of content).

  • Venue info

    The venue is located in the UK. It will be located in St Ritas Conference Centre in Honiton, a lovely town which is about 20 minutes drive from the Devon coast and beautiful beaches.

  • Registration

    There is a 90 minutes induction meeting on the 20th of April, from 7 to 8.30 pm. Please apply and send us your interest for the course, and your qualifications. Once you've been accepted to the course, we 'll send you the contract

  • I cannot upload my CPD certificates, what can I do?

    If you are not able to upload your documents please don't worry as you can also email these to Temenos using the email address [email protected]

  • How long does it take to get my Foundation certificate?

    It usually takes 7 days, for our team to check all the documents and requirements. Once it s been accepted, you will be able to download the digital certificate.

  • How do I apply for for the Advanced Certificate in the Application of the Polyvagal Theory in counseling &Psychotherapy and the residential training?

    In order to apply for the residential training with Maggi and the Advanced Certificate, choose the payment plan you prefer and register on that page. If you haven't completed the Foundation certificate, contact us, and we ll give you access to the videos of the foundation program.

  • How many people will be accepted in the advanced program?

    The number of participants are limited to 12 students for the residential weekend and 30 to the online one.

  • When will take place the advanced training ?

    It will start in June 2023 and finish in October 2023.
